John Crosbie - such a gentlemen, one of the best. Such a kind and caring man and one of the greatest hosts! Our visits to the Surrey hills would include a visit to Henchley Dene where a cup of tea would always be accompanied by cakes and biscuits galore. Were they for us or more for his sweet tooth? Jam and scones a plenty even if you turned up unannounced!
A quick visit just to catch up with Mr & Mrs C but many hours of memories and laughter would pass and before you knew it, half a day had passed. I can see him now crawling on the floor chasing after my second grandson. I had the pleasure of working with JC , he was the firmest/fairest boss ever, even for the few months we had together. One of those who for whom you had the greatest respect for, because he was one of the greatest gentlemen.

John was a good friend to all of us at 4 Henchley Dene, over many years.
He was very kind, thoughtful and helpful in many ways, particularly after I was left on my own, after my Elizabeth passed away.
John enjoyed long walks in the local countryside and I was delighted to be able to join him on some of them. He was good company, and I will miss him.
John always asked after my 2 daughters, Sally and Alison and they join me I remembering a good friend.
